Originating in the city of Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province, Karinocha Matcha is produced in one of China's most renowned tea-growing regions. Hangzhou's unique microclimate and nutrient-rich soils result in vibrant, emerald-green matcha with a naturally sweet umami depth. Zhejiang is now the world's largest producer of matcha powder – a modern revival of the centuries-old Chinese tea tradition.

🪴 Spring harvest & shade cultivation

We select only the tender leaves of the first spring harvest, which are carefully grown in the shade in early spring. This increases the chlorophyll and L-theanine content – ​​resulting in an intense green color, a silky-smooth texture, and the characteristic mild sweetness with minimal bitterness.

⚙️ Stone grinding & first-class quality control

Our matcha is gently stone-milled in temperature-controlled facilities to preserve its delicate aroma and valuable nutrients. After milling, it is stored under refrigeration and shipped fresh – ideally to be enjoyed within six months – to ensure the highest quality and best taste.

Certified according to European, USDA, and BRC organic standards, Karinocha Matcha contains no additives, colorings, or preservatives. What you see is 100% pure tea leaf: vibrant green, rich in antioxidants, and bursting with umami.
